If you are a government agency and intending to lease premises to a community or not-for-profit tenant, the lease may be exempt from the Retail Leases Act 2003. Therefore, you may not be responsible under the lease for certain outgoings and repair costs. This potential exemption results from a new Ministerial determination that could affect an assortment of premises leased to community or not-for-profit organisations.
