When things go pear-shaped and you're receiving or issuing court papers, the months (or years) ahead can be challenging, expensive and stressful. The modern-day litigator brings a new suite of innovative skills to help chart a path through litigation in a way that is planned, strategic, cost effective and calm.

This session will provide you with some very practical, concrete Legal Project Management (or LPM) tools to help you to plan and manage your matters better.  The benefits of LPM are becomingly increasingly well-known to both lawyers and businesses.  Over the past 12 months we have seen a number of law firms establish LPM teams and corporate legal departments hire legal operations professionals (who are experts in LPM).

We will then look at the role of Mindfulness in Litigation.  Through examples drawn from Mediation and Negotiation, we consider how mindfulness and a trained mind is fast becoming a key tool in not only managing complex litigation matters, but also in fostering a more inclusive and compassionate workplace.
