Frontline Victorian public sector employees can be exposed to online bullying and harassment by members of the public.  The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office invites you to a discussion with lawyers from our Workplace Relations and Occupational Safety, Commercial Property and Technology and Litigation Branches, on managing and responding to the risks that social media may have for the health and safety of employees.

This seminar will explore:

  • scenarios where an employee may be subject to online harassment by a member of the public;

  • an employer's obligations to protect employees from harassment in cyber space;

  • practical tips to assist employers to manage these situations; and

  • legal remedies and avenues of redress which may be available.
