On Wednesday 11 November, the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) launched a joint initiative alongside the Victorian Bar’s Commercial Bar Association (CommBar) and members of the Judiciary to target inequitable representation of Victorian women barristers in commercial litigation.

As a founding signatory of the Charter of Commitment, the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office has made a commitment to a number of actions including targets in briefing women barristers, identifying new women commercial barristers, and collecting relevant data and reporting this data to VEOHRC.

The three year Charter of Commitment begins in 2016.
