Belinda advises and represents a range of government clients including Victoria Police, the Department of Human Services, Corrections Victoria and the Attorney-General's Office. Belinda’s practice includes coronial inquests, civil claims against police officers, personal injury claims, costs recovery and applications and reviews under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to Be Tried) Act 1997.
Belinda is experienced in conducting proceedings in the High Court, Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates' Court, Coroners Court and the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal. Belinda also has experience in alternative dispute resolution processes.
Belinda completed her Articles with the DHS and worked as an Associate to a Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria before joining the VGSO. Belinda has also worked as a volunteer lawyer at Inner Melbourne Community Legal (formerly known as North Melbourne Legal Service) where she provided legal advice to clients on a range of issues.
