Current practice

Ella practices in litigation and dispute resolution. Ella's practice includes personal injury claims, police tort claims and coronial inquests. She has also been involved in quasi-criminal matters, including applications and reviews under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997. Ella's clients include Victoria Police, the Department of Justice and Community Safety and the Attorney-General's Office.


Ella joined the VGSO as a paralegal in 2018, before commencing the law graduate program in 2019. During her graduate year at VGSO, she gained broad experience in a range of litigious and advisory matters. Her experience as a graduate included working on a Royal Commission, a high-profile coronial inquest and a variety of civil and criminal law matters.

During her studies, Ella worked as a research assistant for a criminal law barristers' chambers. She also volunteered at legal aid centres including Victoria Legal Aid, Fitzroy Legal Service and Northern Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Alice Springs.

Ella has a Juris Doctor (Law) and Bachelor of Arts (Criminology, and Politics and International Studies) from the University of Melbourne.
