Louise's current practice is advising police clients on a wide variety of legal issues faced by Victoria Police. Her particular areas of expertise include police powers and duties, police operations, emergency management, internal discipline matters, protected disclosures, public interest immunity, sex offender matters and the protection of vulnerable witnesses.
Louise is experienced at advising police clients on a wide variety of law enforcement issues. As part of her role she has participated in a number of secondments to internal units of Victoria Police, including to the Professional Standards Command, Water Police, Search & Rescue Squad and the Freedom of Information Division. She has also completed the Victoria Police Discipline Investigation Course.
Louise also has experience in conducting merits review matters in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and appearing before all Victorian courts and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in warrant applications.
Louise has also worked in private practice, where she conducted administrative appeals for both government and private clients, advised on freedom of information and privacy matters, and acted for government clients in coronial inquests.
