Current practice

Stephanie acts for government clients to resolve negligence and personal injury claims involving minors. The team was formed following the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and specialises in guiding clients to sensitively and effectively manage claims regarding those affected by institutional sexual and other abuse, using established protocols with plaintiff law firms, the Model Litigant Guidelines and Common Guiding Principles. 

Experience

Prior to joining the VGSO Stephanie worked at Wotton + Kearney and Moray & Agnew where she acted for Australian and international insurers as well as directly for engineering and accounting firms. She handled a wide variety of matters for these clients including class actions, employment practices liability claims, recovery actions, Worksafe prosecutions, building disputes and professional indemnity claims.

Stephanie is also admitted in New York and worked in a reinsurance law firm for three years prior to returning to Australia.
