Vicki is a Principal Solicitor in the Workplace Relations and Occupational Safety branch of the VGSO. Vicki’s expertise covers all aspects of the employment relationship including recruitment, restructuring and redundancy, advising on performance management and workplace misconduct including procedural fairness requirements and adverse action issues. Vicki has particular experience in employment litigation including unfair dismissal, equal opportunity/anti-discrimination, breach of contract including confidentiality and restraint of trade claims as well as OHS prosecutions.
Prior to joining the VGSO, Vicki worked as a Senior Associate in a boutique employment legal practice where she advised a variety of clients including small to medium businesses and not for profit organisations on the full range of employment issues. Vicki also practiced in both Sydney and Melbourne in the employment and industrial relations area of a large international law firm providing advice to clients from a variety of industries. During her time there, she performed pro bono work for the Public Interest Law Clearing House. Vicki has also performed a human resources business partnering role at a financial institution where she provided strategic human resources support and advice to executives and managers.
