About the role
We are seeking a legally qualified Knowledge Counsel to design and implement the VGSO's Knowledge Management (KM) Strategy and further embed a knowledge sharing culture.

This newly created role will oversee the VGSO's KM systems, explore and enable new KM technologies, innovations and opportunities, to support the VGSO's strategic objectives and add value to client service delivery. The key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Provide KM leadership and direction to ensure effective coordination and centralisation of KM systems and processes;
  • Develop and implement a KM Business Plan;
  • Provide advice, recommendations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders on KM issues, risks and key deliverables of KM projects and initiatives;
  • Ensure stakeholders can easily access VGSO knowledge, including precedents, procedural documentation, advices and hubs for knowledge transfer; and
  • Educate and promote knowledge-sharing capability and practices across the VGSO.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing strategic KM approaches. You will also possess well-developed communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and proactively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. An understanding of change and project management principles, including process mapping and content management would be highly regarded.
