About the team and role
As a key member of the People & Culture (P&C) Team, the role provides an exciting opportunity to further promote and embed a health and wellbeing culture across the organisation. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, a central component will be to lead the development and implementation of tailored strategies to proactively prevent and reduce health and wellbeing issues in alignment with the VGSO's and VPS strategies and frameworks.

A key focus is also in mental health, including providing advice, coaching and training to managers and employees, building organisational awareness and the design of appropriate employee support services. You will also be involved in policy development and implementation, together with preparing and analysing health, safety and wellbeing data and reporting to assist managers to identify trends and preventative strategies. A key focus will also be on the design and implementation of a 'workload management' review system.

Skills and experience

  • Solid experience in managing health and wellbeing, ideally gained in a professional services environment
  • Have insight into the challenges and pressures of working in a legal services context
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and partnerships
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and sound working knowledge of workplace health and safety policies and legislation
  • HR Generalist background will also be an advantage, although not essential
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience required
