Current practice

Bethany is a solicitor in the Workplace Relations & Occupational Safety Branch.  Bethany's main practice focuses on advising and representing public sector clients in areas of employment law, industrial relations, occupational health and safety, and equal opportunity and anti-discrimination.


Since joining the VGSO as a Law Graduate in 2019, Bethany has been involved in a wide range of litigious and advisory matters across multiple branches.  She has gained experience in areas including employment law, constitutional and adminsitrative law, planning law, commercial and property law, native title and litigation and dispute resolution.  Bethany has also been engaged in various ongoing Royal Commissions during her time at the VGSO.

Prior to joining the VGSO, Bethany worked as a Research Assistant to counsel in barristers' chambers. She has also gained experience in commercial law firms and worked as an in-house paralegal in the private sector.  During her studies, Bethany completed an internship at the Attorney-General's Department in Canberra and volunteered at various community legal centres in Melbourne.
