Applications for the 2025 VGSO Graduate Program are now open and will close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 21 August 2024 per the LIV Guidelines(opens in a new window).
If you are interested in applying for the 2025 VGSO Graduate Program, you will need to complete an online application.
Candidates are required to complete a few questions in the online application form. Your application must also include the following:
- Resume
- Cover letter
- Copy of your most recent legal academic transcript(s)

Academic transcripts can be downloaded from your university's website and don't need to be an official transcript.
Overview
Our Graduate Program offers you a unique foundation for a rewarding career as a lawyer, whether in government or private practice. You will work on interesting, high-profile matters, with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. You will work with talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic colleagues, who will help to mentor and guide you.
The role is wonderfully diverse, constantly challenging and extremely interesting. As a Law Graduate, you will gain exposure to various facets of the legal system with 3-month rotations through 4 of our 6 legal branches:
- Public Law & Planning
- Inquiries, Prosecutions & Administrative Law
- Commercial, Property & Technology
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Police Advisory
- Workplace Relations & Occupational Safety
